I recently bought my first Mac and loaded Parallels (Desktop 3.0 - build 5582). I loaded XP home and all was well for a couple of weeks. After that I would only see the taskbar when I started Windows. I could make it full screen and then take it back to a window and it would work. Not anymore, though. Now when I start Windows in the VM I get the following error in the window:

Windows could not start because the following file is missing or corrupt: WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\CONFIG\SYSTEM
You can attempt to repair this file by starting Windows Setup using the original CD-ROM. Select `r` at the first screen to start repair

I had to load Windows originally from an ISO image of the disk because it would give me errors on the install when I used my CD, so i don't know how to try and do the repairs that it is suggesting.

    Any help is greatly appreciated.
