I have tried three times to install Windows XP from a CD on my MacBook. The first time it said my license code was bad, but it's not. The second time it froze. Then I uninstalled and reinstalled Parallels following the instructions on the website. Now I am sitting here again, in the 'Installing Windows' phase, at the 37 minutes remaining point, and it's dead. What can I do?

    Hello,

you can try to install Windows using an ISO image. In order to do this follow steps, written here.
Please let me know, if the problem still exists.

    Best regards,
    Stacey

Thanks, this turned out to be related to the USB drivers issue. Once I downloaded the updates the install proceeded fine.

One note to anyone else having hiccup trouble with XP implementation--I perceive that it helps if you aren't doing a lot of other stuff on the computer while it's installing. A stable network connection also helps, especially during the hot fix and service pack phase.
