    Hi,

I am running xp using parallels on my macbook. This is my question: Can I put my macbook to sleep while xp is running in parallels? Should I put windows to sleep before I put my mac to sleep?

    Thanks.

Putting the Mac to sleep while XP is running is like pulling the power cord out of the wall on a PC with XP running. It might not hurt anything. Maybe. I don't do it myself - I suspend the VM so it is ready to go right where I left it when I restart the Mac.

This is true if you suspend the mac (close the lid) when in parallels VM (full screen or not). However, if you first switch to OS X, you can leave the VM running and suspend. At least works for me (using Virtue desktop).
