XP Sound on my Mac laptop

I have installed the 2.1 beta and it works really well except for sound (there is none).

The FAQs suggest there should be some - what do I need to do?

The faq does not say sound works in the current beta :

Q: Is sound support available? I can’t get Parallels play sound.
N: Not in this beta. But will be fully supported in GA.

I realize that in beta 1 there was no sound, but the official blog entry for beta 2 says that there is now full sound support:

Thanks to the rabid support of our 30,000+ beta testers, we were able to make some serious improvements to the Beta very quickly. Beta 2 is available for download now, and includes:

Full audio support in guest VMs
Full Wi-Fi support in guest VMs
Kernel bug fixes (some major, some minor)
All in all, the product is looking really good. I give a big "THANK YOU" to everyone who's helped with testing, or just sent me a note offering their support.

Is this right? If so, how do you turn on sound in windows XP? Do you have to tell windows about a virtual sound card?
