XP Will Not See The New Drive I Made

I am having the same problem as others have stated. I have ran out of HD Space so i added another Hard Drive in Parallels but when i start up xp it loads and says that it found my new hard drive and it is ready to use, But when you go to my computer i only see the Dive:C and no new drive. Can anyone help me out???
 
...in linux....

I assume you would basicall have to do the same thing, define/format/mount right? has anyone done this successfully?
