Yosemite running really slowly after upgrading, caused by Parallels Access?

I was wondering if anyone else ran into this. After upgrading my host OS to Yosemite, it started to run really slowly. Opening Mail, Safari, everything, would cause the spinning wheel to sit and I'd have to wait 5-10 seconds. It was pretty infuriating. I was on the verge of reimaging the host OS when I noticed that multiple Parallels Access threads were running in the performance monitor. I uninstalled Parallels and Parallels Access and now my Mac's performance is just fine.

I came here expecting to see multiple threads and replies, but nobody seems to have run into the same thing as me... or have they?

Have you tried re-installing both apps? Might have been a problem with the upgrade.
