i experienced a very weird issue on a deadline that i was none too happy about and was hoping to troubleshoot this a bit. i run software that uses a .XXX file extension along with a .YYY file extension that is the BACKUP version of a file. apparently the software generates the backup when the file is open at some point. XXX and YYY are fill in examples of the extension. recently when in MacOSX and unzipping one of the .XXX files that were send to me the unzip process begins, there /appears/ to be a bit of activity in the software that is operating in windows, and then the file unzips to a folder with the same name as the zip file except that the unzipped file has an extension .XXX.YYY in order to get around this i simply took off the .YYY and the file behaved as it normally would with a .XXX but this is an issue i would like to resolve in a more pro-active way. any ideas? i am not sure where to go with this except to parallels forum. TIA
