On Parallels Desktop 26.1.1 (build 57288) running on Apple M4 Pro, ARM64 Linux guests incorrectly advertise SVE2support through AT_HWCAP2, even though the hardware does not implement SVE or SVE2 instructions.

This causes applications using Vectorscan/Hyperscan or other SVE2-optimized code paths to crash with Illegal instruction (SIGILL) errors. The problem can be verified inside the guest with:

Installed Debian 13 ARM version with KDE desktoop environment

Installed Parallel Tools by copying the installer from the mounted CD to a folder in my home directory ~/Downloads/parallel_tools

Ran the following command: sudo apt-get install -y dkms libelf-dev linux-headers-$(uname -r) build-essential

Then did: sudo ./install

The installer stated that it finished successfully.

I rebooted and each time I log in, I get a dialog...

1. Download ISO for arm64 from Canonical Site
2. Create a new VM, install from ISO and choose the ISO that was downloaded
3. Install using default settings
4. After final reboot, you'll notice GUI is missing.
5. Log into terminal session and type:

1. sudo apt update
2. sudo apt install --reinstall gdm3 ubuntu-desktop
3. sudo systemctl restart gdm3

6. GUI should start.
7. Install parallels tool from 'Actions' menu

I'm trying to run Ubuntu arm with KDE plasma on Mac M4 Max on most current

Sadly I hit one bumper after another. Basically I only want to the most native feeling as possible.

My issues so far:
1. Resolution
Display setup: I can't set the correct resolution in Linux. I found one that is okay but not the ratio of mac. I tried with different parallels options like Retina or scaled and fullscreen settings. No luck so far.
