I prefer a permanent license for the Pro version but that isn&#039;t an available option to me.  If I shelve my macbook pro and don&#039;t come back for a year or more I don&#039;t want to come back to a virtual machine that I can&#039;t access to use as the license has expired.  So if I were to up up my Standard Edition to Pro for a time now can I later downgrade my pro to Standard Ed one time...<br />

      <content:encoded><![CDATA[Screenshot below.  In a base install of debian, <span style="font-family: 'Courier New'">sudo</span> isn&#039;t installed by default.  This causes certain commands to fail within the installer.  That said, looking at the script, if it&#039;s running as root then it really doesn&#039;t need <span style="font-family: 'Courier New'">sudo</span> in the first place.<br />
Perhaps something like this toward the beginning of the script might help:<br />

Sometimes I search for an app and accidentally end up opening a Windows app, which means I have to wait for the VM to start up, close the app, and close the VM.<br />

      <content:encoded><![CDATA[I&#039;m on macOS 26.3 on an M4 Max MacBook Pro. Since the first 26.3 beta if I remember correctly, leaving my Windows 11 VM running in the background eventually puts my Mac into a state where it&#039;s constantly stuttering and freezing for half a second. Closing Parallels once in this state has no effect and I have to reboot. I&#039;ve confirmed it is Parallels by not running it for over 3 weeks with no issues, and opening it yesterday causing stutters this morning. It seems like a GPU issue if anything...<br />

I will attach a screen shot = &quot;no operating system&quot;<br />
However, if I &quot;ESC&quot; from the &quot;virtual&quot; shell, I can select boot options and it will run, eg selecting: Windows Boot, EFI drive, etc.<br />
I tried to change the boot order within the shell dialog, but it seems to only exist for the current session - ie save does NOT survive a shut-down restart of the vitual machine.<br />

my problem is; display settings in windows not saved anymore. Whenever I open windows on parallels,  it always opens in extended display settings. Then I have to change it back (to show only on 1)every time. I can&#039;t remember when it&#039;s changed but couple weeks ago i could save my display settings on windows(show only on 1, extend, duplicate etc.)<br />

I have a FreeBSD 14.2 virtual machine configured as &quot;Other&quot; OS that started kernel panicking on every boot.
