Just got my first iMac! Intel version, If I install XP natively can it be accessed by Parallels?

If I install XP natively and in Parallels will they be two seperate OSs?

Anyone have issues with XP installed in Parallels completely disapearing after setting up new Time Machine?

    Thanks in advance

    Hello Plsony,

You can either install Windows on a Parallels VM separately or use Windows under Boot Camp (choose Custom installation mode when creating a new VM). All the steps are described in details in Parallels Desktop User Guide For Mac.

    Best regards,

some users report Windows demanding reregistration a second time

    search the forums

a simple VM is the most trouble free

Bootcamp is useful to save battery power on laptops or for gamers

but judging by the cries of pain in these forums best avoided

search the forums for other peoples experience
