After downloading Parallels 4.0 I can not make any changes to Network in System Preferences. Pop down window tells me another program has changed my settings and will not close to allow changes. Any help on this?

Could you please post a screenshot with this? I'm not sure about the case.

Parallels at startup does configuring of parallels adapters. But after configuring is done, all should be ok.

What other software do you have installed?
    Some VPN client?

    Network Preferences

Apparently I found a way to resolve the problem.
I had the page in the image below with a pop-down window informing me that another application has changed my settings.

The problem was that when I click "OK" the window would close and re-open immediately so that I could not do anything with Network Preferences. It seemed to be caught in a loop that re-opened the window every time it closed.

I managed to click a setting during the split second that the pop-down window closed and interrupted the loop. Since then the problem has not re-occurred.

I am only using Time-Warner Broadband, no other network or local wireless.
