Hi, have recently upgraded to PD 4.0 but have a couple of problems. 1) when maximising a window in the VM it goes all the way to the bottom, and covers the start bar. this is annoying trying to flick between windows that are open. is doing it on two different VM's. 2) input sound. input sound level is significantly lower in the VM than on the Mac. have ensured that the volume is adjusted to full on both windows and mac side, but the level is unusable. Any ideas?
Hello, 1. Can you check the screen resolution on a Mac side and on the Windows side? Try setting it the same. 2. Could you please clarify what is the host and guest OS that you have? Is it MBP, iMac or something else? As for now, I may suggest the following: - start your virtual machine, - click on Start -> Control Panel -> System -> Hardware tab -> Device Manager, - right-click the "Sound, Video and game controllers" node and select "Scan for hardware changes". Most probably a missing multimedia audio driver will be found. Please, install it. NOTE: you might need to insert the Windows installation CD to install the driver.
Hi, thanks for the response. screen resolution is same in VM and Mac. also its worth noting that when running in full screen mode, the start bar is visible correctly, only when i have a maximised app open does it cover it. have tried the scan for changes ... did not find anything different ... The guest operating system is Windows XP, and its running on a Mac Pro, Leopard 10.5.5 Cheers, GS
The solution for issue #1 is: 1. Right-click Windows taskbar. 2. Select "Properties" 3. Enable "Keep taskbar on top of other windows" option.
Perfect ... not sure why that would be unticked during the upgrade from PD3 --> 4, but nonetheless, working so all good.
