Environment: Mac OS X 10.5.6 PD4, Build 3540 When booting with PXE and starting WinXP SP2 RIS install all drivers load but machine hangs when trying to start Windows to continue install. It does not get to the disk formating or copying of the Windows installation files. CPU utilisation on Mac is very high while it hangs there. Any idea is appreciated. Thanks a lot.
Just a wild guess: Are the proper networking driver is embedded to the RIS-image? They should have either Realtek8029 driver or Native Parallels driver which can be obtained at http://kb.parallels.com/en/5808 Please post also a screenshot of the hanged screen. Is it looks similar to http://forum.parallels.com/showthread.php?t=31410 ? We constantly do some internal tests of VMs using installation of Windows through PXE to test general work of Parallels Desktop (and other Parallels products), so either in your image there is really missed network driver, or your configuration is somehow difffer from ours. Could you post here the details how to configure PXE-environment similar to yours?
