Vers 5 and the internet

(Using XP) Had no problem with vers. 4. With Parallels 5 I have spent about 4 hours trying various times to get consistent and reliable connections. Most of the time Internet Explorer shows connection, but never loads a page. I did get Incredimail to access its home page and downloaded one set of items, then it froze.

I am continually told I need to update my security database, but it always quits before completing (at least 10X).

Please try to disable Internet Security. Whether issues reproduces with Internet Security disabled?

Please

1) Switch to the Shared Networking (it is default)

2) Make sure that Parallels Tools are installed

If this doesn't help, click Start -> Run and execute cmd.exe. Type in the appeared window command "ipconfig /all" (without quotes). Stretch the window to make all the output fit and without closing the window, click menu of Parallels Destkop "Help"->"Report a Problem", send a problem report (it is not necessary to provide description) and post here the report ID.

Everything was working great until a few days ago. Shared networking is on. Have sent help report: ID 909884

Amused with new Windows issue =)

For some strange reason there are two gateways in the IPConfig, one of which is correct and another one is 0.0.0.0

Please try start the cmd.exe one more time and execute the command

netsh interface ipv4 delete address "Local Area Connection" addr=a.b.c.d gateway=0.0.0.0

where a.b.c.d is IP-address of VM (can be obtained using command ipconfig)

Unfortunately in the problem report, output of "ipconfig /all" didn't fit and IP-address of your VM is not visible, so I can't say what a.b.c.d exactly is.
