    Hi,

how can I explore the HDD of a VM under Parallels Desktop when the VM is not running? I have to install the OS new and I would like to copy some folders/files from the old VM HDD?

    Thanks

    Ludwig

    Parallels Mounter

You can mount your hdd through Parallels Mounter. Here is instructions:
    - find .pvm package with your VM
    - right click on it and choose "Show Package Contents"
    - in New Finder's window double click on <Your VM name>.hdd file (by default this action should open Parallels Mounter)
    - Parallels Mounter should mount this hdd file to your Mac

    Sorry, dear DmitriyB,

I found the .pvm, but it is not working, neither by show package content nor open with Mounter. I send you the pictures with the errors.

    Please help.

    Thank you

    Ludwig

    LudwigK,

You shouldn't rewrite anything. The idea of sending problem report is that it contains numerous log files and lots of technical information about your Parallels Desktop configuration. This information is absolutely necessary to investigate the issue.

Just submit a problem report soon after the issue arises again, leaving the description empty and post here its ID #.
