Separating network connections?

Try to choose "Bridged" to wired ethernet (not to default) networking type in the VM Configuration -> Hardware -> Network. Hope this will work, but If it doesn't, there are more thing that can be done.

This is my work corporate network to run outlook for the exchange server since I need .pst file support. Then I connect to an external DSL Wi-Fi router so that I can access the internet but I get no internet access when connecting. I have already confirmed the external DSL access with my Win laptop and have no issues.

Hi, it's a bit unclear. Do you mean that when no parallels is running you successfully conect to DSL and able to use it in Mac OS?
 
My work stuff is working fine on the Ethernet but when I use Safari in lion connected to the Wi-fi I have no internet access.
