I am a new Mac user migrating from Windows for the first time. I have just purchased and received my iMac and boxed Parallels 7 for Mac. I will be running a lot of my current windows based applications and will need to have some run natively on the Mac.

Is it advisable to install and run Bootcamp first or do I install Parallels, and then install bootcamp afterwards? I really want to get it right the first time, so any advise will be well appreciated.

I know Parallels will allow me to run Windows apps but I really need to take advantage of the Bootcamp efficiency for some memory hog Windows apps. So please advise the best installation path.

    Many thanks.

There isn't too much variation, why dont you just try and find out the result yourself?

I recommend to install bootcamp 1st then Parallels in that way to use the option that appears on the Parallels 7 installation
