Yep, just change the storage location.

1. Right click Install OS X Mountain Lion Preview 1.app and click show contents.
2. Navigate to Contents -> SharedSupport
3. Mount the InstallESD.dmg as a cd drive. (See screenshot)
4. Start it up and install Mountain Lion.

For this to work do you have to be running Lion Server edition?

Nope, with Lion the EULA allows virtualization of Lion.

All I get when trying to install Lion in Lion is...

The virtual machine cannot be started.

Mac OS virtual machines can run only on computers having Mac OS X Leopard (version 10.5.1 or higher) or Mac OS X Tiger (version 10.4.11 or higher) installed.

Mountain Lion build 12A269 as the Host. Mac Pro 1,1.

Mountain Lion build 12A256 Guest. Has been running fine under Lion.

Now I get Problem ID 397 - "The Virtual machine cannot be started".

Hi, I'm attempting to put in ML on PD7. I have the.dmg file with the installer within. may somebody tell me the precise steps? i attempted one or two of the way however it does not appear to figure. The image is functioning as a result of I already installed it in twin boot. Thanks therefore much.
