I have the professional sound card installed in Mac OS (Leon), but Windows guest OS does not see it. In a Parallels Desktop it is seen under the "Sound" tab (Input / Output) and marked as "connected", but no one program in Windows can not see it. And it is not appear in "Hardware configuration / Device Manager /sound" in Windows. What's the problem? Help please!
I have a similar problem: I have a USB sound card I need to use for both in and out. The Win OS doesn't see it, but I get the "Unable to connect the USB device to your Virtual Machine, please try again later" followed by "A file or device required for the operation of Sound 1 does not exist, or is used by another process, or you have no permission to access it." And of course, the USB sound device is never seen in Windows at all, but works perfectly on the Mac OS. I've tried it as the mac default too, and about a dozen other ideas. It just won't work. And, as usual...can't get anything out of Paralles support. Every time this question appears on the forums, it goes unanswered too. I wonder if anyone actually reads these posts. Oh, and yes I've installed the drivers...and uninstalled them...and installed them...and uninstalled them etc. Makes no difference. And I've deleted the default Intel driver, reinstalled Parallels Tools...about half a dozen times.
