Windows8RC on MBA 2/8/512 Error: SYSTEM_TREAD_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDELED

I just got an New MBA (mid1012) with 2Mhz/8GM/512GBSSD. As far everything works fine.
I copied my Win8RC Parallels Installation from ma old MBP and tried to start. It goes into a loop saying that it will repair.
Booting from the CD-image results also in a restart. Then I tried to boot from Ubuntu 1204 Server. Worked to boot but when OS started -> reboot.

Error: SYSTEM_TREAD_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDELED

Same for Windows Server 2012 RC.

Win7 works!

Funny thin is that VMware fusion has an similar effect. Win8RC installs but then it is in a boot loop.
Virtualbox seams to work - but slow!

Any idea?

I have essentially the same issue. I've tried to install Win8 Preview twice now (3.3GB), and after the download completes and it begins to boot, it goes into the loop as you describe. I have two Win7 VMs and they work fine. Can't get Win8 to do anything but keep restarting the error you describe. New MacBook Air, 8GB RAM...

Same here

Just upgraded to the new MBA and my previously working Windows 8 RC had stopped working

Thinking it was an issue with the backup I tried to reinstall the VM but get the same errors.

I suspect that something like the new Video card doesn't like the VM

Same thing here. I have both the 2011 and 2012 MBA models sitting right in front of me, and all I can say is that Parallels with the 2012 MBA is "glitchy". I have the reboot loop with Win8RC, can't upgrade Ubuntu, and my XP VMs started showing a 30-45 second boot lag. My 2011 MBA is flawless. There's definitely something in the MBA hardware that requires a Parallels patch pronto.

Suggestion for my problem was submit a problem to the mac development team because Win8 is still in Preview.
I told them that it is a problem with MBA because there are other known problems with MBA 2012.

Suggestion: please report all MBA 2012 related problems with Parallels.

Got a call from a Parallels developer (I live in Germany! - very good!) who asked some questions.
Seems there is a solution for the Linux problem. But no idea about windows8.
When I mentioned that VMware fixed a similar problem 48 h after the release of the MBA he was disappointed.
I mentioned that for a fix we have to wait for the next official fix pack.
No idea when it will show up.
