After PD8 upgrade NO KEYBOARD?

I've just upgraded from PD7 to PD8 and now have NO Keyboard function.

I just discovered that my Mac keyboard works fine in Window Mode, but not in Coherence Mode.

Can anyone help with this?

I'm having the exact same issue. Win 7 VM and no keyboard in coherence mode.

Found a possible solution...restart your Mac. The keyboard magically started working in coherence again.

For me I had to uninstall the PD8 using something like appzapper or appcleaner (http://www.macupdate.com/app/mac/25276/appcleaner) Then reinstalled and this worked for me. I wasn't able to fix it by re installing parallels tools.

I found that a restart for me worked as well. Now my keyboard is working again.

The KB article is wrong. You have to enable Crystal mode to fix it.

Hi everyone,

This fix works with Crystal mode change, which means you need to disable it if it's enabled and vice versa - enable it if it's disabled.

A hotfix has been released to address this issue. If you are not automatically prompted to install the update, go to Parallels Desktop Menu - click Check for Updates... and install the fix.

This release was made available September 6, 2012.
