I downloaded Parallels Desktop 8 a couple of days ago and choose get trial which gives me 14 days to try it out. Well I really like Parallels Desktop and I've just ordered a boxed CD/DVD version of it from an online store as it was considerably cheaper than getting it from elsewhere. My question is: The activation key/code is supposed to be in the box along with the Parallels Desktop 8 CD/DVD. Will I be able to just enter this key into the trial version I currently have installed and will this make the trial version into a full version, i.e. remove the 14 day trial limit?
Hello, Yes, you can just use your commercial key to turn your trial copy into permanent. Open Parallels Desktop, click on Parallels Desktop menu (from the menu line on top), choose "Activate Product" and enter the new key.
