Hi, folks, I've searched a lot on this forum but still could not find answer. problem - on creating VM parallels does not offer me bootcamp at all. I've created bootcamp partition from Windows 8 and installed it there. At the time of installation it was os X 10.8.2 and bootcamp 4.*. On time of installation I'd to format bootcamp disk to ntfs so that Windows 8 could be installed. It was done with standart windows tools. It worked well and I can load into windows 8 and mac. Finder sees bootcamp disk and with Textura NTFS driver it can write into bootcamp disk. Now I've os 10.8.3 and bootcamp 5. All updated installed. But when I try to create VM from bootcamp there is no such option at all! It still can see bootcamp partition when I select where to install windows without disk ets but no - Use Bootcamp at all. Please help. Reinstalling bootcamp and windows 8 will be a headache and I'm not sure what the result will be still. I've macbook pro retina with ssd if that matters.
Try to create a VM selecting 'Without a CD'. When set up some setting in the wizard, select your MAC Hdd where bootcamp is stored. Now, Parallels should import your Bootcamp partition!
If I got you clear - I've to 2 virtual disk on 1 physical. One is OS - that is os x, and one is bootcamp by name - that is one with windows. So I'd select windows one? How to determine that is working properly? that parallels does created VM with bootcamp instead of new one?
