New to forums , quick question about windows 7 on my macbookpro!

Not sure if this is in the right section... But like the title says I have a few questions about parallels!

First things first, I have the 13 inch retina and it has


Processor 3 GHz Intel Core i7


Memory 8 GB 1600 MHz DDR3

Graphics Intel HD Graphics 4000 768 MB

the main reason I am using parallels is to game on some of the games that are windows only (boo) so I installed home premium and literally these games look like total crap and are running HORRIBLY. Now is it just me or is my computer not being used to its full potential. Any solutions would be awesome !

 

Most important, what games are you trying? Intel graphics chips have nothing on the separate GPUs found in MBPs, so that's an issue. How much memory are you allocating to the VM?

Let us know what games you are trying and what resolution you are trying it at. Lowering resolution is always a helpful solution.

I'm using my 4 gigs of ram and then I believe 512 mb of my video card? And the games are Rift and Path of Exile and I haven't tried that yet, I will try! I just feel as if i should be getting more power at it..
