Is anybody having excessive CPU usage? Just sitting in Windows 7 with no apps running in Coherence and an external monitor, my usage for prl_vm_app hovers around 145-150%! And the fans on my MBP are pretty much full blast.

Yes, among other issues with devices dropping out and reconnecting over and over. Probably related issues. I think I am going to go back to v8 util the dust settles.

No problems at all with my two Win 7 VMs. CPU for the prl_vm_app is between 2% and 10%. System runs with 48 degrees while everything in the VMs is idle.

Yes, same problem here. If my Windows 8 vm is just sitting at the start screen, Parallels is eating up about 60% of my cpu.

Could you please create a problem report with assert VM:

    1) Add vm.assert=1 flag to boot flags of your VM
    2) Boot it, make sure it consumes a lot of CPU and create a problem report (Help -> Report a Problem)
    3) Post its ID here

Also, it'd be great to have both Windows Task Manager and Mac Activity Monitor open and visible during Problem Report creation.

    Thanks
