OSX Mavericks, Parallels 9 in Coherence, W8.1 and hot corner logging off OSX

Bit poster
I have a fresh install of Windows 8.1 on OSX Mavericks using the latest Parallels Desktop 9. After things are all fired up and logged in I have Parallels running in Coherence mode. Then I can open a program, maximize a window ( not full screen ), take my mouse and drop it to the bottom left hand corner. If I let is sit there for a few seconds, it will automatically log off of OSX.

Now I don't have any hot corners set in OSX and this only seems to happen when a window is maximized.

Is this some setting I can't seem to find or do I have a legitimate issue?

Thank you in advance!

When my screen is maximized in coherence mode and I go to the "start" button in the bottom left on my win 8.1 machine, windows locks up, and shuts down windows. PD9 latest version. This does not happen when not in coherence.

Having same issue

Have the same issue posted here: http://forum.parallels.com/showthre...cking-New-Windows-Start-menu-crashes-OSX-10-9
Seems to be a bug. I had to enable the use Windows 7 look option which replaces the new MS Windows 8.1 start button. I would prefer to use the native 8.1 full screen UI but this was the only work around using coherence for me.

Yes I'm having the same problem. I'm trying to run without coherence to see if it's any better. This is my first experience with Parallels up until now always used vmware fusion, but jumped ship because of the reviews stating parallels had a better platform for w8.1. Definitely would like to see a fix for this.

PD9 Coherence on Mavericks unstable

Has anyone figured out another solution besides enabling Windows 7 look?
I'd rather not do that...

I have this issue too.
I've found running in Windowed mode, i.e. NOT Coherence works. Not ideal but at least it's stable.

Same issue, different cause

P9 latest build (9.0.24172) with W8.1 and Office 2013. Running in Coherence, when I Save As an Excel spreadsheet, and click on the format so that I can change it (e.g. to select PDF), OSX logs out! If I do the same not in Coherence, it works fine.

They seem to have fixed something related to this forced logout in 9.0.24172 but this is not fixing it to me.

Another weird thing that happened is when trying to update to the latest build, P9 would crash when clicking on Update Now.

Build 9.0.24172 still crashes to OSX login page

Tried the latest update (9.0.24172) still have the same problem. Can't tie it to a specific app but I use Office 2010 and 2013 a lot along with Visual Studio and SQL Server Management Studio plus a bunch of other apps.

I'm still on Win 8 too with Win 7 Look enabled.

Problem is I get no error messages so there is nothing to give to Parallels to investigate.

I still have the same issue as you, by the looks of it Parallels is not interested in pursuing this further, hence the lack of updates. I might revert back to PD8 where I did not have any issues. This has started when I upgraded to Version 9 running a Windows 7 VM.
