Mac drives not mapping in Windows XP since build 23350

Since installing build 23350 for Parallels Desktop for Mac 9 my Mac drives aren't mapping in Windows XP. Spent 2 hours on the phone with Support Friday night to no avail. I need to back up critical data from Windows (Quicken, One Touch, etc.) to the external drive connected to the Mac. Can't do this if I can't find them. Oh, 2nd level help is going to call me back any minute now!

I updated to 9.0.23350 last night only to discover this, too. In order to access files, I had to go to my Mac through Prallels Shared Folders/Host. I also reconfigured Sharing under Options to include (the way I had it set up before the update) my entire Mac HD. This allows me to find a file from the Open menu item in my Windows application that I use, but the Macintosh HD is no longer listed in the list of drives in My Computer.

Also, I don't know if this is a Windows problem or Parallels, but I can no longer assign an application to a particular file type even if I use the application assignment utility.

It's hard to see how it's a Windows problem as I'm running Windows XP and the drives were mapping perfectly before the upgrade. While I wait for 2nd level support to call me back I'm going to Restore to an earlier version of Parallels with Time Machine.

I think I solved my problem, but I don't know if it will solve yours.

I opened My Computer. Under the Tools menu, I selected Map Network Drive... Then I selected the psf:host drive and assigned it to the Z: drive the way it was before. I also selected Reconnect at logon.

I've never had this problem before with a Parallels update.

XP still won't let me reassign an application to a file type, though. It worked yesterday, but not today.

I just updated to Build 9.0.23350 and all is fine re. mapping in XP. Before the update I had an issue where the XP drives were not mapping to the Mac and now they are.
