Activation key issue

    I installed Parallel Desktop 9 on my old Mackbook Pro and now I want to install it on my new one but I cannot register the software again using the same key and says I need to buy another activation key.

    Could anyone advise how can I cancel the previous software on the old Macbook and have it installed and registered on my new Macbook?

    I was told by the customer support from Parallel Desktop that you have no way to recover your activation key to transfer the software from your old Mac to a new one. The only solution is to buy a new license. I am really annoyed about it and I think it is total a rip off! I will never use this software anymore!

    Interestingly, I got a call from a senior engineer at Parallel Support this morning who has agreed to release my previous activation key to register the software again! He said the previous technician who said I should buy a new license was a mistake.

    Anyway, I have my software running on my new Mac again although it took a week to have this reasonable solution from Parallel.
