Bit poster
being new to OS X and Apple, I started installing parallels. Then, after about 12 hours of transferring I hit the wrong button and transferring stopped. I started again....successfully. I had to use a different PC name, etc so .......
My question is...is there a file with my 12 hours of transfers on my iMac and can I delete it to free up some space, since I did not complete the 1st installation. If 'yes' where are these files and how do I find them to erase them?
Or, did an unsuccessful installation automatically get deleted with the interrupted installation?
 
Hello Virtual atc,

To check if the old migrated file exists on your Mac and if so to delete the file follow the steps given below :

- Please click on the spot light ( Top right corner of your Mac computer ) and type .PVM
- By default the Virtual Machine .pvm file is located in:
Mac HD/Users/Username/Documents/Parallels or Mac HD/Users/Shared/Parallels
- If you see the old migrated file ( Stopped in the middle ) name with .PVM extension move it to trash.
- Click on empty trash

Thanks....the .pvm files show 0 kb so an interrupted install must have been deleted automatically.
 
Hi virtual atc,

Search for the .hdd files on your Mac and delete the .hdd files

Now initiate the migration process again to create a migrated Virtual Machine.
