I am currently using Parallels 8 to run Win 8.1 as guest OS with nested virtualization enabled to run the WP8 emulator (virtual studio 2013).
Everything is running sort of fine, except it is strongly advised to use only 1 CPU, which I'd like to improve.
I was planning to upgrade to parallels 9, but surprisingly there are no info whatsoever about any improvement in nested virtualization (or at least I couldn't find it easily).

Does anyone know about any improvements? Do you suggest upgrading?

    Thank's!

    Hi GherardoC,

You can upgrade to Parallels Desktop 9, For more info regarding Nested Virtualization in Parallels Desktop 9, please refer: http://kb.parallels.com/115211 to run Windows 8 Phone emulator in the Windows 8 Virtual Machine.

This is not what the user asked, they asked for what were the improvements and specifically the use of more than one CPU.

Fortunately the answer to that is actually implied in that kb article:

This means that PDM 9 supports assigning more CPUs when using nested virtualization.
