OS X Yosemite isn't running correctly as virtual machine

Hi!
I'm running on my MacBook Pro 13" Retina (Late 2013) OS X Mavericks (10.9.5) and the latest version of Parallels Desktop (10). First I've installed Windows 10 Technical Preview in Parallels and everything is working fine. Now I wanted to test OS X Yosemite (10.10.1) in Parallels as virtual machine before a upgrade my MBP to Yosemite.

Unfortunately the hardware (CPU, RAM, graphic chip) of my MBP is not found in my Yosemite VM. For this reason it is extremly slow and the resolution of the screen is limited to 1024x768 pixels and sharpness is extremly bad.

What can I do to test OS X Yosemite in Parallels as VM correctly?

Hi Christian,

Please follow the below steps to (Re)install Parallels tools.

1. Start Yosemite VM.
2. Click on Actions from top Mac menu bar > (Re)install Parallels tools.
3. Restart VM once after tools are installed.

Let us know how it goes.
