Parallels 10 & Windows 10: Cannot install nvidia drivers

History: Apple have just replaced the 3TB Fusion drive in my late 2012 iMac under the free replacement program for a potentially faulty batch of the HDDs. Since purchase in early 2013, I had Windows 7 installed via Bootcamp, runnig without problems. After the drive swap I was no longer able to install W7 via Bootcamp (never found out why!) so I installed Parallels 10.

successfully installed my genuine W7, activated it and successfully upgraded to W10. The next thing was to get the latest nvidia drivers. The iMac has an Nvidia GTX680MX graphics card but I cannot install nvidia drivers because nvidia says I do not have an nvidia GPU.

This may be because Parallels/W10 thinks my graphics system is a Parallels virtual display. Is there a solution?
 
To add: I can max the display to 2560x1600, which is full height but a little short of full width. The text onscreen is a little bit fuzzier than either in Yosemite or in W10 on my PC.

Hello Michael,
If I am not wrong, you are facing issues with the display on your Windows virtual machine. Please refer to this knowledge based article and apply the settings that are suggested there to check if it helps.

Thanks Dishant. I don't have a Retina display but the comments in that KB were very helpful and I am happy with my display now.
