Frustrated with Windows Updates and Parallels

Every so often, Windows pushes out a larger update, which requires a reboot. Each time I run through reboot, it corrupts my desktop UI and I have to restore a previous snapshot and work through the update. I've read threads about how to restore the icons and user profile but this just doesn't seem logical for me to have to do every time windows updates! I'm currently running Parallels version 10, and Windows 10. Is there a fix for this?

I would suggest you to complete Windows updates as you cannot stop Windows 10 from receiving updates even if you revert to a snapshot Windows will attempt to complete that update. Please take a snapshot and try updating Windows sometimes after a big update Parallels Tools needs to be reinstalled in Windows. Please refer this article to install Parallels Tools.

I have allowed the updates to complete. The problem is when I log back in, I lose all the icons and access to my applications. This isn't the first time I've had this happened. I've managed to work around this by reverting back to older snapshots before allowing the updates to install. With the current update, however, the reboot ends with the corrupted profile. I have read an older thread that walks you through copying an admin profile to restore the icons. I just think this is a lot of work for me to be doing each time windows updates the OS....
