How to move .pvm from external HD to Finder?

I have an external HD that has the OSX Extended format. I can move any other directory and file, but when it comes to moving my Parallels .pvm, I get this error: Finder can't complete the operation because some data in "Microsoft Windows XP.pvm" cannot be read or written. What is wrong with my .pvm?

Hi,
Please make sure you have shut down Windows from Actions > Shut down or from Windows start menu > shut down. You will also have to check if you have read & write permission for the .pvm file : Right Click Get info > Sharing & permissions .

Hello Dhana,

Sorry for the late reply. I have shut down Windows and changed the permissions to read & write for the .pvm file, but I still get the same error. Note that I want to move my virtual machine from my external drive (into the drive of my actual computer), not to an external drive.
