Windows 8.1 Can't access windows desktop

I'm running windows 8.1 on a mac book pro with Parallels. When I click on the desktop tab on windows, I am directed to the mac book desktop, Parallels just minimizes itself.

Does it work before? Please let us know which "desktop tab" are you using?

This has never worked. I only just installed th windows 8.1 copy and Parrallels. The desktop button is circled below
