cannot activate parallels

I have just purchased and downloaded Parallels 12 and installed it on my MacBook Pro running Sierra. The window appears asking me to enter the activation key (which I have), but the window is completely inactive - if I click on the key window nothing happens - I can't even get the cursor. The only active functions are "Go Back" and "Buy" - which I have already done as I have the activation key.

This is the window after I have selected the "Enter Key" option. There are no active areas on this window. mu only options are 'Buy" (which I have already done and I have the key),"Go Back" or close the window using the traffic lights.
