I have a specific Windows program (AVID V5.3 offline editor) that will not launch without the screen resolution being 1920x1080 - I cannot achieve this. Am I missing something simple or is just not possible. My screen settings in Windows will not offer any options of change. I hope the brains trust can get me outta this corner. Parallels 12 running Windows 10 home on a 2015 15" MacbookPro. Thanks

I suspect it depends how you run the VM but you for sure will need to make sure the Mac display is set to high enough resolution (at least 1920x1080 if not more) and then you have a chance. If you run VM in its own desktop window, you need to zoom that up to the size needed using right lower corner pull. If you run in coherence or full screen modes, the resolution Windows will use is the Mac resolution, I believe. On my MBP I have routinely displays set to 1920x1080 - and that is already the most "More space" setting there is - and therefore to get your software running, I would have to run VM in full screen or coherence modes.
It may get more complicated with the retina resolution support and I still do not understand that.
