I am about to purchase a new MacBook Pro, but before I do I need to know if there will be any problems in using Parallels to run Widows 7 Pro 32-bit and MS Office Pro 2010. If it will be ok, is there a preferred or minimum specification for the MacBook? Thanks for any advice.

Hi, @GeoffT3. First of all, please ensure that your new Mac has at least 8 GB of RAM and 250 GB of total disk size. Then, after installing Windows, shut it down, open the virtual machine configuration window, navigate to Hardware -> CPU & Memory and allocate 2 processors (or just 1 if the total number of available processors is just 2) and 3 GB of memory for Windows. Then, select 'Graphics' and allocate 512 GB of video memory for Windows. Ensure that 'Vertical Synchronization' is enabled and 'DirectX 10' is selected for '3D Acceleration' under 'Advanced Settings'. Also optimize the Windows virtual machine's performance by following the steps under 'Virtual Machine Configuration' in this article. This is all the resources required for the virtual machine to ensure optimum performance of Windows and its applications.
