Many of us have adopted a PIN to login to Windows 10. Is there a way to get the NumLock set by default when the VM boots?
How does one accomplish that on a Mac keyboard...exactly? https://www.apple.com/shop/product/MQ052LL/A/magic-keyboard-with-numeric-keypad-us-english?fnode=56 There is no NumLock key. Instead I found a registry key value to set on boot of the Windows guest VM that enabled NumLock, but Parallels should allow us to go to Devices --> Keyboard --> NumLock and have it stay between reboots by showing us a check mark in that menu that NumLock is enabled.
I did just discover that the CLEAR key on that keyboard will enable numlock. So hitting that first, then using a PIN to sign in is another option.
I understand your concern. We will forward your query to the management now and get back to you on this when we get an update. Thanks for sharing this info with us. But I believe this should be done for every Windows reboot.
Your query has been forwarded to our engineering team. Additionally, please feel free to post this as a feature request here, so other users can also vote for the same.
I couldn't find this feature request so I started one. Vote here if you want this feature added: https://forum.parallels.com/threads...-launches-of-windows-virtual-machines.343206/
NumLock key do not turn ON Num Lock state. It toggles states between Num Lock and non-Num Lock states. Mac keyboard doesn't have LED to show the states but PC keyboard has.
