Hi, I bought Parallels last month and was surprised and disappointed to learn that I can only install it on one computer. Practically every other program I own allows me to install it on two computers, so I can use it at my work desk station and my laptop. Worse, I can't seem to find any information on the license 2-pack that seemed to be available before. Is this no longer an option? Finally, how many times can I deactivate/reactivate my license on different computers? For example, let's say that I use my laptop only on Sat/Sun and my desktop Mon-Fri. Can I activate the license on my laptop on Saturday morning (thus deactivating it on my desktop), and then activate the license on my desktop on Monday morning (thus deactivating it on my laptop), and repeat this process every week?
Sorry to "bump" this, but does anyone at Parallels have a comment on the last part of my first post (i.e. deactivating/reactivating my license)?
Does anyone at Parallels have a comment or reply to my original post? Almost two weeks and I haven't heard anything.
Hello SameerA1. Sorry for the delay. With Parallels Desktop, it's always only one Mac per license. The corresponding number of licenses must be purchased for the corresponding number of hosts, as per our licensing policy. No, it's not. Switching a license from Mac to Mac is possible, but cannot be done unlimited times. To use Parallels Desktop on two Mac's in the long run, you must have two licenses.
Hello Hemnath, Thank you for this information. Your response brings up two questions: 1) How many times can I switch my license? 2) What happens if I exhaust this number of "switches"? Thank you.
You can switch the license only one time. If you wish to switch it again, contact us so we can reset the license.
