Hi, I have and iMac and Mackbook Pro. I use Parallels in both MAC in order to use windows. The problem is that some software that I use keep the information in C: in a required way. And when I change Mac I can not access that information. I have tried several things, including installing the programs in the DOCUMENTS folder ... but they give me problems. My question is: is it possible to use the same VM on both Macs? I mean, first save .PVM file in a synchronized mac folder (iCloud). And then use that same file from both computers. It's possible? the only problem is waiting to synchronize the .PVM file (40 GB)?
Hi javierb3. You can use the same Windows virtual machine on two Macs. However, you need to shut down the virtual machine properly by selecting Actions (from the Mac menu bar) -> Shut down before opening on the other Mac. Also, we do not recommend to use the virtual machine from the online storage because the operating system files might be corrupted if there is any network issues during the sync. You can have the '.pvm' file on an external hard drive and connect the drive to the Mac in which you want to access the virtual machine. Make sure that you shut down the virtual machine properly before disconnecting the external drive from the Mac.
