Before I added a second external monitor, I was able to click on the VM that was in the Mac dock bar (at the bottom of the screen) and the menu for Windows 10 would appear. However, after adding this second external monitor, when I click on the VM, nothing appears. I have to Right-Click, select View and then select Windows Start Menu. The VM is running in Coherence mode. It worked fine with one external monitor, but not after I added the second. Both external monitors are the same - Dell P2715Q running off a thunderbolt port on a Mid-2015 MacBook Pro. I'd appreciate any thoughts or suggestions you all may have.
Hi AndrewY1. Let us ensure that Parallels Tools are properly installed. Please follow this article to install Parallels Tools and check if it helps.
Thank you for your reply. As requested, I have reinstalled the Parallels Tools. There has been no change -- When I left click on the VM in the dock, it still does not display the menu for Windows 10. I still have to right-click, select view and then Windows menu.
Hi @AndrewY1, please switch virtual machine into Window mode, drag and drop the virtual machine window to the second monitor and then Enter Coherence mode to check if that works.
That you for that suggestion. As requested, I exited the coherence mode changed to Window mode. I dragged the VM Window from one monitor to the other, then entered coherence mode on the other monitor. When clicking on the VM in the dock, the windows menu does not appear. So, no change of behavior. I did discover something that may provide another clue... My set up, from left to right, is my MacBook Pro, monitor A and then Monitor B (both the same monitor brand and model #'s) I generally keep my dock on Monitor B. However, with the dock on Monitor A, I am able to click on the VM in the dock and the WIndows menu will appear - the desired behavior. I prefer to keep the dock on Monitor B. Does this give you any additional information to help resolve this issue? Again, I appreciate your assistance and insight.
