Parallel 14.1 and windows 10 ver 1803 cannot update to ver 1809

Hello I have a problem with windows 10 update from version 1803 to 1809.
When windows update download 100% and try to install the update ... after auto restart (as of update processes request) 1-2 time .... there is only black screen (nothing appear) and freeze.

I have to force stop and quit black windows then restart again .... the windows rollback to version 1803.
Second time I tried to install via boot camp native and it succeeded with no flaw.
Third time I tried to update in Parallels Desktop vm again and faced the same problem (black screen after system update auto restart processes).

I tried to search in google and in this forum but I cannot find any solution.
Pls share some solutions (If there is any) , Thanks.
 
Hi penockio, let us know if you are using a Bootcamp based or a standalone virtual machine. If it is a Bootcamp based VM, updates needs to done directly in Bootcamp. If it is a standalone, isolate VM and try to update. If you are still facing the issue, try the steps suggested in this article.
 
I use standalone virtual machine. However in bootcamp, it can be updated successful.
Now the problem has gone silently. I don't know why but I think that It is the problem of windows update itself (not parallels desktop). Windows might do something with its update data to solve the issues. ^_^
