    HELP! HELP!

I am having serious problems running Win XP under parallels with a iMac 24" running OSx 10.4.

For example, when I start parallels, the system boots up in ~1min but after that, any simple mouse click the response is extremely slow. This is my first venture into the mac and parallels world. I love the idea of using WinXP for some critical programs that I still need the WinXP for but I can't handle the very slow response times.

    Please advise.

On what system did you install parallels?

    Ram?

Only 1 GB of RAM is barely enough for OS X alone. You should upgrade to at least 2 MB of RAM. In the meantime, try allocating only 256 MB or at most 512 MB of RAM to XP Pro and you might get by for a while.
