How can I start Parallels WITHOUT launching a VM?

Every time I open it I have to launch a VM or create one. If I click cancel the application closes. I'm trying to configure a VM but I never get the chance.

Open Parallels.app directly... Then, if that does not work, try holding down the command key while opening Parallels, if it is not the command key, I think it is the option key.

Or you can just edit the auto-mount setting in your pvs file.

Well that's the point... I cant change the setting because the VM always starts.

Command click opened the finder. ;(

Press the command key AFTER you double-click on Parallels.

Which is 'while' you are opening parallels, not as you are sending the command to open it.

    MacClueless, hello,

does your VM start automatically after launching PD? You can configure this option in VM's settings but for now you can do the following: after starting PD, when it offers to choose a VM, press apple key and, holding it, choose the VM - its configuration will open but the VM won't be launched.

    Best regards,
    Alicia.

PD Menu >> File >> New
or import if that is the plan

    just ignore the exisiting VM
    you can close that afterwards
