If you take out a regular license for Parallels 16 I understand that you get point updates but you do not get Parallels 17. However, even after the release of Parallels 17, your version of Parallels 16 will still work. What I do not understand is how a subscription operates. I realise that if you take out a years subscription you would get version 17 if it is released within that year - however when your subscription comes to an end does the software stop working entirely? Or does it reverts back to only getting point updates to the last release that came out during your subscription, but still basically continues to function?
Hi, please check this KB article for more information and let us know if you have any additional questions.
Thanks for response but I totally get the single payment model. The question I am asking above is about the *subscription* version. If my subscription ends after 1 year, does Parallels stop working completely, or do I just not get any further major version releases?
Hello, once your subscription period has been ended you will not be able to use your Parallels Desktop until you purchase an upgrade(prolong your subscription)
