I've tried looking through a lot of previous posts but I've gotten terribly confused by all the info about M1s and ARM and Insider programs and channels.

I have a MacBook Air with an M1 chip. I need to be able to run a genealogy program that I don't think will run on Windows 11, just Window 10 and earlier.

I was going to order a licensed copy of Windows 10 from Microsoft and whatever the newest version is of Parallels Desktop for Mac.

    Will that work?

Thanks to anyone who can clear this up for me.

Hello, any Intel Based guest OS is not supported on M1 Mac. As Windows 10 is Intel Based, it will not work.
