I've upgrade to Parallels 17 and the software will not allow a hd alloction of less than 256gb to my W11 vm. I do not need anywhere need that amount but do need it on the Mac side. Is there a workaround that anyone knows? Thanks.
Hello, @MarkF12 By default, The hard disk size will be given as 256GB for the Windows virtual machine and it is just a virtual hard disk size hence it will not consume all the 256GB of storage from your Macintosh HD until the virtual machine utilizes 256GB of data. Thanks.
thanks, and sorry, I just saw this. So to be totally clear, if the W11 applications and data are only using 40gb of hard disk space, the remaining 216gb are still availalbe to be used on the Mac OS side? Thanks again.
