Will Linux/Ubuntu run on a Parallels/Mac M1/M2?

After finding out that Windows 10 will not run under Parallels/Mac M1/M2 - I have to ask if Linux/Ubuntu will run in my Mac M/M2 with Parallels installed.

Currently, I run Windows 7, Windows 10 and Linux Ubuntu on my 2015 MacBook Pro - (which has the Intel processor).

I'm using Parallels 17.

Please be informed that Linux/Ubuntu is supported on M2 machines.
