I am on Parallels 20.2.2, Windows 11 VM. Yesterday Shared Network setting was on, and I had non network access. I set it to Bridged Network (default adapter), and it worked.

This morning I tried the tips I got before from Tech Support 8/11/2024:
    1. (Assume it is set to Bridged Network)
    2. Shut down VM, Quit Parallels Desktop
    3. Open Terminal
    4. Execute the following commands:
    sudo rm /Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration/NetworkInterfaces.plist
    sudo killall -9 configd
    1. Restart your Mac and Launch Parallels Desktop.
    • 6. Set it to Shared Network (Recommended)

But I still had no network access. So I am back to bridged network. Any ideas, or can this be fixed?

    Hello,

Please collect a technical report at the moment of issue reproduction (Help > Send technical data > check "Attach screenshots..." > press Send Report) and send the report's 9-digit ID as a reply to this e-mail.

    Thanks

I will. Today I tried turning on shared network again, and so far it has been fine. It comes and goes, very strange. Yesterday nothing fixed it - reboots, changes to Bridged and back, Mac reboots, the solution I posted from Tech Support in post #1, nothing. I never lost internet in the host Mac. But today, I change it back, and it's fine now. I'll post here with the report # when it happens again.

UPDATE: This morning I switched to the open VM (My Mac was running all night), and the Shared Network connection was broken again - even though Internet was fine on the Mac host. I sent the Technical Data Report.

Technical Data Report ID = 487815773

Today, one day later - it failed again - no Internet on Shared Network. I put it on Bridged until this can be fixed, not happy about the VM being exposed on the network though. I submitted another report, #487902000. Prior one in the last post was 487815773.

    Hi don,

I have the same issue with W11 ARM on M4 Hardware. The network interface is dedicated to the VM (wifi). Then the net interface suddently turn to disable state (hu?). It was working pretty fine until I update MacOS the the latest release yesterday (15.4 (24E248)). I will do some test, but I'm pretty sure this is something related to the update.

This is clearly an issue with the driver itself: the device manager is not reporting the device as disabled, when the systems seems it as disabled. Proof by the picture: upload_2025-4-16_11-14-25.png

I had a second MacBook Pro , M3 chip, disconnected from the internet when using shared network. I flipped it to bridged as well. Maybe it has at least been triggered by MacOS 15.4, although I have seen this problem prior to that release.

Hello, anyone from Parallel on this? I have submitted two different reports, posted numbers. It's still happening. Runs for a short while ok with Shared network, then network disappears. Any help? I thought things would be better with subscription service...

    Hello,
I have troubleshooted the issue per my side - the problem occurs once the computer was joined to a hardened AD domain. To work properly, ensure that the service "WinHTTP Web Proxy Auto-Discovery Service" (aka WinHttpAutoProxySvc) is not disabled.

My VM is not part of any AD.

Doesn't means your service is healthy... I have just share my technical context.AD is not the culprit here, just the leading need that ease the trouble shot. I have no more issue since. Give it a try, it worse nothing ;)
